Trys (3/5/1995 - 1/22/2006)

Trys was born in West Suffield, Connecticut, on March 5, 1995. Trys died on January 22, 2006, in Stowe, Vermont, of an aortic valve rupture while retrieving a knobby dummy. Her breeders are Mike Book and Barbara Biewer. Trys has taken Obedience and Agility classes at HOTC, and been trained for field/hunting for the Golden Retriever Club of America working certificates (WC/WCX). Trys earned her CD on September 27, 1997 at the Tullahoma Kennel Club of Tennessee Show in Decatur, AL. Trys earned her CDX on November 30, 1997 at the Savannah Kennel Club Show in Savannah, Georgia, at the three day Christmas Cluster with Hilton Head, SC. She celebrated her new title with a run on the beach with Dylan at Tybee Island. She earned her final UD leg at the same cluster at the Savannah Kennel Club Show on December 5, 1999. Her treat for this was agility training which we started early in 2000. Trys earned her NA title at the Clarksville Kennel Club Show in Clarksville, TN, on May 27, 2000 and all three legs of her NAJ title at the Festival of Dogs in Lafayette, LA, on July 7, 8, and 9, 2000. She earned her OA title at the Canine Capers Agility Trial in Gainesville, Georgia, on September 21, 2000. She earned her AX title and her OAJ title at our local obedience club trial in Huntsville, AL, on October 20, 2001. Trys earned her tenth UDX leg and title on March 30, 2002, at the Nashville Dog Training Club trial. She earned her AXJ title October 13, 2002 at the Greater Shelby Kennel Club trial in Memphis, TN. She earned her MXJ title July 13, 2003 at the Atlanta Kennel Club agility trial in Perry, GA, and her MX title on November 22, 2003, at the HOTC trial in Decatur, AL, both at over 8 years old. She competed in the AKC Agility Nationals in January, 2005 and January 13-15, 2006 in Tampa, Florida. Her last agility run in competition was there on January 15, 2006. She died one week later.
